When we first launched our website flythomascook.com back in December 2004 we started with one goal, to offer seats on our aircraft to independent travellers, giving them the chance to fly with us to our many destinations without buying a package holiday.

As we’ve grown, our product offering has grown with us and as a result we have decided to switch our website name to our company name and brand Thomas Cook Airlines. Our new website name signals a new intent to be more visible and more recognisable as one of the biggest names in travel, and it’s so much more than just a place to buy seats

We flew TCX MAN-HER-MAN and stayed 7 nights in Sentido Elounda Blu.

In general, we couldn't fault the holiday. It was well run and organised from start to finish. We paid extra for priority baggage, and at arrival at MAN, we were given complimentary fast track security as well.

Flight out boarded on time, but was on a VERY old ex Airtours B767 (beware these aircraft - NOT yet upgraded to new cabin!) Seats were uncomfortable and quite narrow, but service and food was superb. In flight meals were possibly the best we've ever had. IFE was on old screens suspended from the ceiling, and not great quality.

Heraklion airport is a hellhole on earth - not at all TCX's fault, as it is bad for every airline. However, our baggage was amongst the first out. We didn't do the coach transfer as we decided to hire a car but apparently was comfortable, but quite long.

The resort and hotel were perfect. Food, service and accommodation were all amazing. I suggest looking on TripAdvisor for more reviews of this place. The rep (Bethan) was attentive and knowledgeable, and available most days.

Flight back, again through Heraklion (no better going out...seriously awful!) on a B757. Again, an older aircraft, but seats and IFE were much better.

All in all, a good experience. Flying MAN-LAX-MAN next year in premium with TCX, so looking forward to it!
