Char Broil Commercial Series Grill Model 463241004 - Bought this grill in 2005. It has served us pretty well all along. Went to clean it out and up for the upcoming season and found that two of the brass burners were warped a little bit, the crossover tubes were corroded and the grates were rough in spots. Not too bad after 10 years. I Contacted Char Broil because the burners were supposed to be guaranteed for life. They were super nice on the phone. They are replacing everything on warranty. The grill is not as pretty as it used to be, (it sits out all year round-no cover) but with $380 plus in parts for free it'll work for several years more I'm sure. Never had any of the problems with fires, explosions, flare ups, etc. unless I let the gas run too long before lighting. I suspect that some of the problems were caused by ignorance or neglect.

I came to this site to read reviews before making another grill purchase. Maybe Charbroil has changed in the past years. I purchased the commercial series 4 burner stainless exterior, steel and heavy cast grate on the inners. This grill, maintained normally with some neglect and used heavily year round still works good today. I put one free set of burners into it, sent when requested from Charbroil. I purchased it about 8 years ago. It is showing rust on the inners and is now close to retirement.

Gas Grill is very hot under the bottom, tank is hot very hot. I am afraid it may blow up injuring someone or damaging my home. Do they make a heat shield for this unit? Just looking for a solution. I like the grill - just think this heat transfer is a dangerous issue. The grill works great.
